Starting 1st January 2026, all transactions regarding transferring money from one bank account to another will be using cheques.

Basketball Bank x EDL corporation
Basketball Bank and the Envelope Delivery for Laziness (EDL) has agree to corporate together to ensure that cheques gets processed as quickly as possible.
From 1st January 2026 until 1st June 2026, Basketball Bank will agree to cover the cost of EDL processing fees towards all cheques during this period. The Central Bank of Finance Department (CFD) also agrees to abolish all kinds of duty rate throughout the entire year of 2026.
All cheques received will be processed and credited to the receiver within 3 days, excluding QQ Care Centre's unavailable day.
How much does a cheque or cheque book cost?
A cheque book (containing 30, 60 or 90 leaf cheques) is FREE. Renew of cheque book is available only if there are 5 cheques remaining in the existing cheque book.
You will only be charged for EDL processing fees and CFD duties, which are both exempted until the end of June 2026.
There will be a penalty of QQ$70.00 per leaf cheque being unused and wasted (for reasons like typo, broken/teared cheque or last-minute cancellation).

How to use the cheque?
Write the details of the cheque. We will share how to write a cheque at the back of the cheque book. We will also show you how in a tutorial video later.
Hand it to the receiver of the cheque (if required).
Put the cheque into the EDL postbox.
New terms when using cheque
Sender must transfer at least QQ$50.00 in one go. This policy is same as previously.
With cheques, there will be NO limit of transfer or how much you want to transfer as long as there is sufficient funds in your account. Overdraft policy is DIFFERENT for each account - please contact Basketball Bank to learn more about your overdraft policy in regards to cheques.
Users who wishes to pay for penalties like compounds, fines or taxes, please write your penalties details behind the cheque. Learn more at the cheque book behind and your respective agency of QQ's portal website.
With the new cheque system, users under bankruptcy or debt will NOT be allowed to transfer. Any users who declares bankruptcy or debt will have their unused cheques confiscated, and any pending cheques to be voided.
Post-cheque CANNOT be inserted in the EDL postbox. Cheque inserted before the date stated in the cheque will be counted as VOID immediately, and no transactions will be performed.
All cheques will expire after one month. Cheque inserted after one month from the date stated in the cheque will be counted as VOID immediately, and no transaction will be performed.
Basketball Bank reserves the right to reject any transfer requests in respect of a valid reason.
